Coordination, receipt & return

01 / CONTEXT

Found does not always mean back in your hands.

This was not a search from scratch. The phone had already been reported found when the customer contacted us. The remaining questions were who held it, whether collection on the customer’s behalf was possible, how to check its condition, and which shipping route could accept a phone with a built-in battery for delivery to Japan. We helped connect those next steps.

02 / THE JOURNEY

From confirming custody to delivery at home

Based on the available communications. The business confirmed final delivery; no exact delivery date is inferred.

  1. 01
    08 SEP 2026

Confirm the holder and a workable route

The customer supplied the lost-property reference. We contacted Beijing Daxing Airport’s lost-property centre, confirmed that receipt on the customer’s behalf was possible, and checked a shipping route to Japan with a logistics provider.

  2. 02
    09 SEP 2026

Complete airport formalities and explain the next step

We told the customer the airport checks were complete and explained the planned shipment to our office in China. A photo subsequently supplied by airport staff was shared with the customer that day.

  3. 03
    11 SEP 2026

Receive the phone and share a condition video

After receipt, we charged the phone and sent a video showing its condition. We invited any additional checks; the customer said there was nothing further they wanted checked.

  4. 04
    11–12 SEP 2026

Address concerns about the onward journey

The customer was concerned about receiving the phone safely. We explained the forwarding warehouse’s inspection and possible repacking, continued delivery follow-up, and assistance with logistics enquiries and compensation applications if a problem arose.

    12 SEP 2026

Record packing and send to the forwarding warehouse

We shared a packing video, sent the phone to the partner warehouse via SF Express and supplied the domestic tracking details. This domestic leg included RMB 3,000 declared-value cover; it did not establish equivalent cover for the international journey.

    THE OUTCOME

Delivered intact to the customer’s home in Tokyo

Following the coordination and shipping arrangements in China, the phone reached the customer’s Tokyo home intact. The assignment was completed.

SHIPPING UPDATES · 12–13 SEP

Explain the packing, forwarding and next steps

We shared the packing video, the SF Express shipment to the forwarding warehouse, inspection and repacking steps, and plans to provide Japan-side tracking. The customer replied: “Thank you for the detailed videos and photos. I’ll wait for updates.”

The RMB 3,000 declared-value cover and estimated one-day journey to the warehouse referred only to that domestic leg in China, not international cover or a general delivery promise.

03 / HOW WE WORKED

Clear updates at the steps that matter

01

Confirm before arranging

Check the holder, release process and transport route; distinguish a planned step from a completed one.

02

Share visual updates

Pass on the airport photo, the condition video after receipt and the packing video at the relevant stages.

03

Explain the uncertainties

Discuss warehouse checks, repacking and delivery follow-up, while distinguishing cover on different transport legs.
