Left an item at a hotel, restaurant or attraction
Contact the actual property, not just a booking platform or a chain's general office. Properties with similar translated names can be far apart.
Identify the exact venue
Provide its full name and address, visit or stay dates, reservation name and room, table or locker number if applicable. Describe the last location precisely: bedside socket, bathroom hook, restaurant seat or security tray. A receipt or booking can identify the branch.
Ask the right team to check
At a hotel, ask reception to coordinate with housekeeping and security. At an attraction, use guest services and identify the ride or area. Shanghai Disney's official page distinguishes park, non-park and resort-hotel inquiries; do not assume one desk covers all venues.
Keep proof private
Send a description and a photo of the item, not an unredacted passport or booking confirmation in a public comment. Ask for a reference and agreed follow-up time. If staff say it was moved, request the receiving office's name and official contact.
Arrange collection only after confirmation
Check whether the venue accepts a named representative or a courier, what documents it needs and how long it will hold the item. If you are abroad, confirm the item and shipping eligibility before buying delivery. A promise to check a room is not confirmation of a find.
